As we prepare for this 2025 Trek - I'm missing my Dad, Jerry Watts who was so integral for our 2008-9 Trek. It's his birthday today so especially tender hearted as I think of him and all the memories I have of him with us on the trail. He LOVED all the people we met and they loved him. On our original Trek, he was our wagon master, maneuvering our 32 Ft trailer into some pretty (what we thought were) impossible spots. When he had to go home for back problems, Kevin and I had a very steep learning curve. This time, we won't be novices, but we'll be nothing like my Dad. He always greeted us with a smiling face after our long days of hiking and I'll miss that this time. My dad was an example of faith. He started the trip knowing he had trouble breathing but he came anyway because he supported us and our purpose.
